Mark Little is the CEO and founder of Storyful, described as the first news agency for the social media age. Acquired in December 2013 by News Corp, the organization mines the Web for live social media posts and videos of events as they occur in real time. Among their many international clients are The New York Times, Reuters, Al Jazeera, ABC, CBS, Google and The Wall Street Journal.

Professor Edward Schumacher-Matos has invited Little to speak first to his Audience and Engagement class and then atnoon join with other interested students for this brown bag lunch in Stabile Student Center.  Little will discuss the evolving media environment and the ever-perplexing challenge of verification in the midst of prolific user-generated content.
